It is situated outside the small town of Flamignano, a hamlet of Tossicia, in a clearing in the valley and in the middle of the wood, easily reachable by foot on a path.

It was probably built at the beginning of the XIV century, even if the current structure of the following century. It was deeply restored in 2007, but the earthquake of 6 April 2009 caused its deep lesions.

The church has a gabled roof and on the façade has a portal with an ogive arch surmounted by a crumbling sandstone relief on which it is still visible a Madonna assisa with baby Jesus and an oval window helps to give light inside.

The bell tower is placed on the back of the building and houses two bells, while the inside of the church has a single nave with a transept, in whose left arm there is a wooden baroque altar with twisted columns.
