Built in the sixteenth century to coincide with the foundation of Giulia, it is located in Giulianova Paese and has a particular layout, with an irregular trapezoidal shape, an unusual fact for a period in which it was built according to stylistic-architectural canons based on regular shapes.

The façade, although embellished with pilasters, is still simple and essential and ends with a trifora used as a decorative element. The door is surmounted by a valuable mosaic composed of 45 ceramic tiles and depicts the Madonna of Mercy with a heart pierced by swords and with Jesus' body in his lap after the crucifixion.

In the rectangular tympanum there is a large round clock. Behind the church, embedded in the Renaissance village, there is a bell tower that houses two bells. Internally the environment is characterized by a single hall that ends with an apse in which is located the presbytery area where there is a remarkable marble altar.

On the side altar there is a statue of the Madonna surmounted by the inscription Look and see if there is pain similar to mine at whose feet, in a glass case, has the statue of the dead Christ. Above the altar, in another niche, is the statue of the Madonna with Child surrounded by cherubs and cupids. Above the entrance door on the mezzanine there is a fine pipe organ.
